One morning this week, I got up and looked at myself in the mirror. How did I get to be an older woman? I started picking on myself for not taking care of my body as I should have.

Later that day, I drove to Vancouver. I marveled at the gorgeous colouring in the trees. The reds, yellows and browns were so vibrantly alive, even though the trees were shutting down for the winter. Suddenly I started laughing at myself. Why should it bother me to get older? Life is eternal, yet all things have their seasons, and nature goes through her cycles gracefully. I can move into my autumn feeling sorry for myself, or I can move through in a blaze of color!

George Bernard Shaw wrote: "This is the true joy in life … being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one … being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy … I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.

I want to be thoroughly used up when I die. For the harder I work the more I live.
I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It's a sort of splendid torch which I've got to hold up for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing on to future generations."

Or in plainer terms -- “Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, coffee in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ‘WOO HOO what a ride!’" -- author unknown

I TOTALLY AGREE!

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

There is only One Life, that Life is Divine Life and that Life is living Itself as me right now.

I relax into Life with a sense of awe at Its magnificence. No longer do I groan about any part of it. It is all God, therefore It is all good. I celebrate Life in all Its forms and shapes. The more I acknowledge It the more vibrant It becomes.

My life, being Divine Life, has everything in it necessary to fulfill my highest good and greatest joy. I acknowledge and claim this as my Truth. How could it be anything else. God is Truth, and the Truth sets me free from all the “I should haves..”,

With a heart filled with gratitude, I celebrate Life! And so it is.
