Today is the International Day of Peace, a day set aside by the United Nations, first celebrated in 1982, where millions of people around the world participate in a minute of
silence for world peace at noon in every time zone.

Perhaps you might be asking “why would I participate in this … does it really do any good?”

In 1975 Maharishi Mahesh Yogi became known for teaching Transcendental Meditation for Global benefits. His University taught a Unified Field Theory through meditation, which has been known in Vedic Sciences for thousands of years. Many scientific studies have been done since then on the effects created by large group meditation, The results were amazing and the phenomenon became so well known it was named the Maharishi Effect. The Maharishi Effect establishes the principle that individual consciousness affects collective consciousness.

To say it more simply, in the children’s book Dinotopia, one of the ‘codes’ is that “one raindrop raises the sea.” As we allow ourselves to become still, and consciously connect with that web of consciousness, or the Noesphere, as Barbara Marx Hubbard calls it, our consciousness helps lift the consciousness of humanity. We are doing our part to Awaken Humanity to Its Spiritual Magnificence.

Imagine tuning in every hour with a conscious intention for Peace in our world. What would that look like? We have lived with war somewhere in our world all our lives, some of us more than others. We could start by imagining what our individual lives would be like if they were totally peaceful. Most of us have had moments like that. Perhaps instead of trying to figure out what it would look like, we could remember what it feels like. Our conscious intention plus our feelings are what makes manifestations!

For just a moment, allow yourself to sink deep within to the centre of your being. Feel the Peace that passeth all understanding and let that Peace radiate out into your world. You ARE making a difference!

Peaceful Blessings, Rev. Angelica

The only Reality is Spirit – everywhere present, all powerful, all knowing. I acknowledge this Presence within me and around me as I focus on World Peace.

Today as I join with millions of others in this World Day of Peace, I easily drop any judgments about any part of my world. I declare it all good – and I know this is true, because it is all God. I feel the Peace of God permeating the atmosphere, radiating out from me to all points of the universe. I awaken to the Truth of God, and as I awaken, others are awakening. I have the consciousness of Peace and I am a blessing to my world, just as my world blesses me.

Gratefully I celebrate my recognition of the One Life we are all living, the One Breath we are all breathing, the One Mind we are all using. God is perfect peace, and peace expresses through everything right now. And So It Is.
