Sacrifice

During these times of amazing change, many feel they have had to make sacrifices for self preservation. Some people come to this idea with a sense of victimization, believing something or someone “out there” is causing them to make sacrifices.

Once again, it is all a matter of perspective. Yes, we have had to tighten our belts, find new jobs, new homes, make sacrifices – yet we can look at it differently.

The word ‘sacrifice’ comes from the Old Latin meaning to ‘make sacred.’ ‘Sacred’ means dedicated to a deity or religious purpose. If we look at this from a Religious Science point of view, what would our lives be like if all the changes we were making were done from the perspective of making our lives sacred? Dedicating all that we are, all that we have, and all that we have ever had – to the Divine?

We would be living in Truth. The Truth is, there is nothing but God. There is no separation at all. Everything we are, everything we have, every thing we think we’ve given up is God. The sacrifices we’re making are so we can more fully be our Divine Selves.

And that’s a good thing!

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

The I Am that I Am is hungering to be recognized – and so I do. I celebrate this awesomely powerful Presence that is my life and everything I experience. I celebrate the unconditionally loving and infinitely intelligent nature of this Presence. I know it as Divine Energy – the Source and substance of all that is.

I open my heart and mind to make all things sacred. Everything I experience with my senses is sacred. Everything I feel is sacred. This makes my life a holy experience. I rejoice in this Truth. The Divine in me, as me, is honouring Its perfection as me.

As I change my perceptions, I change my experience. I declare my life is one that reflects the wonder and uniqueness of The Divine. I feel joy in all my endeavors. My whole being dwells in the generosity of Spirit.

With a grateful heart, I release these words – knowing they are so. And so It is.
