Wednesday evening a group of us attended the YukYuks show at the casino here in Langley. We laughed for an hour and a half! As we left the theatre we joked about the endorphins we’d stirred up. We all had great big smiles and the world felt good.

We humans take ourselves way too seriously. Granted there’s lots going on in our world that takes serious consideration – however, Joy is one of the attributes of The Divine – therefore, one of ours. We want to live a balanced life and incorporating joy into it is part of the balancing.

One day years ago I was swimming in the hot ponds in Kapoho on the Big Island. As I floated in the warm water I was contemplating a challenge in my life. I was thinking of all the “coulds” and “shoulds,” just like I had been doing for a few days. I had gone to the hot ponds to relax, and it just wasn’t working. I remember telling myself “just let it go” and suddenly a child’s laughter rippled across the surface of the water dancing into every atom of my being. I could feel myself smiling in response, and suddenly the “challenge” didn’t seem so big at all. I let this child’s laughter, and the ensuing laughter from others fill me and lift me up.

Science is recognizing the importance of laughter. We’ve all heard how Norman Cousins healed himself of a terrible disease by watching slapstick movies in his hospital room. Dr. Madan Kataria, a physician from Mumbai, India, recognized the need for more laughter while on his morning walk one day in 1995 and created Laughter Yoga. It caught on so well that he and his wife now travel the world setting up Laughter Yoga clubs, teaching people how to laugh intentionally. This is wonderful, yet it’s also kind of sad, as it speaks to the idea that somewhere, somehow, as we grew up, we lost the ability to laugh naturally … or maybe we don’t feel like we have permission.

A Pranic healer once wrote: Laughter comes from the center of our Being, the core of our heart. Our belly is so full of laughter that it permeates every cell in our body. True laughter is true prayer. When you laugh, the whole of nature laughs with you. It echoes and resounds and makes life worthwhile. When things go all right, everybody can laugh, but when everything falls apart, and yet you laugh, that is evolution and growth.”

Laughter is a sacred experience. It brings people closer. It relieves physical, mental and emotional pain. It makes our challenges shrink in size. Its like an internal aerobics session for our organs. It removes stress, enriches our blood with oxygen, and helps boost our immune system. Laughter really is the best medicine for mind, body and heart!

Smiling Blessings, Rev. Angelica

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

Oh Great Spirit of Joy, fill my heart with laughter!

Today I choose to take myself lightly. I recognize The Power Within and how easily I can direct It into a negative or positive experience with my dominant thoughts. Today I choose to laugh, to be joy filled, and to experience the delights of being alive.

As I make these choices, the whole Universe responds. I have let my Divine Child out to play. Joy is the sign of my alignment with and as God. How happy I am to be able to do this!

Gratefully, I celebrate Divine Joy today. And so it is.

As many of you know, I metaphysically interpret everything, and here’s something I’ve been mulling over for the past couple of weeks. Recently 3 major figures in our world died. James Brown, Gerald Ford & Saddam Hussein.

When I heard about James Brown, my thought was “We’re losing our soul.” When Ford died, I first thought about the parodies by Chevy Chase on Saturday Night Live, then about him forgiving Nixon, and then I realized Ford was a voice of integrity. When Hussein was executed, I thought, “Judas has died again.”

As we look around at the results of the collective consciousness of humanity, it does seem like we are losing our soul. We read and hear about random shootings, senseless acts of violence, horrific things I can’t even comprehend that humanity is perpetuating upon itself. Yet in understanding our teaching we realize everything “out there” is just a big mirror. On an individual level, how many of us are more concerned with the material effects of our lives than we are with our spiritual health?

Then there are those of us who are leading quiet lives in integrity, and are doing so in the best way we know how. Yet when something out of alignment happens, we think about it but don’t speak up. Sometimes when we’re around those that do, we feel embarrassed.

Then there is always the one who must be the Judas – the betrayer, the one who dies to bring a greater Truth to light. In Truth he was but our mirror .. a distorted carnival mirror, but a mirror none the less.

In my contemplations, I became even more aware that whatever I do has an effect on the whole of humanity and how important it is for me to do something. Yes, we teach individuality and self-responsibility, yet we are responsible for our brothers and sisters. They are us. In the book “Social Intelligence” author Daniel Goleman relates a story of a group of seminary students who were assigned the parable of the Good Samaritan to give a talk on. Every 15 minutes one of them left the room to go to another building to give their sermon. Their route took them past a doorway in which a man was slumped, moaning in pain. Over half the students ignored him, so intent were they in getting to their lecture hall. Little did they know this man was actually part of their curriculum!

So to James Brown, Gerald Ford and Saddam Hussein, I say thank you for being part of my curriculum. In your deaths I got the message to nurture and honour our collective soul, it truly is that part of us that celebrates Divine Life. To speak up in integrity and to put actions to my words, and to forgive and bless those who are our mirrors.

Each live is a Divine Life and has a Divine Purpose.

Let’s live that Purpose out loud!!

Blessings, Rev. Angelica

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

There is One Life, that is God’s Life. My soul reflects this One Life and everything It is.

Today I choose to see absolutely everything and everyone as part of this One Life. Regardless of any judgments I might have had, I see all expressing their Divine Purpose.

I put my hands out to the Universe and say Here I am God – use me in ways that empower the good of the collective soul. I am willing and I am ready.

As I do these things, my own life reflects this goodness. I am surrounded by an atmosphere of peace and grace. Gratefully I experience all that makes Life happy and worthwhile by means of me.

And so it os.

It’s really hard to be a teacher of this philosophy and be experiencing something physical – or financial – or emotional and not be able to move out of it immediately!

In the middle of December I woke up with a backache, which got progressively worse, until a couple of days later, I dragged myself to the chiropractor and got examined. I was shocked seeing the x-rays. My spine was crooked, my pelvis tilted, and needless to say I was in a lot of pain. According to him, I had re-injured a chronic condition. Every time I visited him, he would put up the x-ray. I had to face those pictures while he evaluated me and what adjustments he would be doing.

Within just a few visits I was standing straighter and feeling so much better. This was wonderful. Then last Saturday, I woke up in the middle of the night in terrible pain and as I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror, all I could see was a crooked woman. I thought about the Spiritual Mind Treatments I was doing for myself, and that others were doing. I had a crisis of faith and stood there yelling “This isn’t fair – this isn’t fair!!” A Voice said “Life isn’t fair – it’s what you make of it.” A calmness came over me. I realized that though I had been Treating for a straight spine, my main focus had been on trying not to feel pain. I had accepted I had a chronic condition, and was fighting the fear of being crippled. I saw that x-ray once again in my mind’s eye, and realized how many times I had thought about it. The Universe was giving me what I was predominantly thinking about – what I was making of my life!

I immediately decided to change my mind. I decided to focus on being grateful. I would be grateful I could still move around, grateful for the help I was receiving, grateful I was alive. Every time I was able to move without pain, even if it was only for a second, I praised it. “It’s working! It’s working!”

Imagine my doing church Sunday morning in this condition!! I found myself not only dealing with pain but embarrassment as well. However, my decision to be well attracted two people coming over a half hour early to church. One was our practitioner, and she had brought a friend who had just become a Reiki Master. I was able to experience the work of both of them and the tension of pain and embarrassment drained away.

From the moment I changed my mind, I’ve been getting stronger and straighter, and attract just what I need to do so. I now have a picture of a healthy spine where I see it often. I decided to close my eyes at the chiropractor’s office so I won’t see the x-ray he needs to look at during his evaluation. As I told him what I was doing, I remembered he too, was God in expression, working for me to facilitate my healing.

This morning I got an e-mail message written by the late Eileen Cady of Findhorn:

The lessons of patience, persistence and perseverance, which have to be learned by every soul, are vitally important. Do not give up when you fail to put them into practice all the time, but keep on and on and know that you will win through in the end. Victory is assured for those who faint not on the way.

Learn to keep on an even keel and do not be up in the heavens one moment and down in the depths of hell the next. Keep your mind stayed on Me, hold the vision of perfection ever before you and never let it go; this is the way to bring it about. Put your whole faith and trust in Me and be at perfect peace.

Our teaching is so simple – Focus on what you want – regardless of appearances!! Must be what Jesus meant when he said “Keep thine eye single.” Absolutely everything is God in form and here to serve us. It can only serve what we’ve accepted for ourselves!

Are you dealing with something issue right now? No matter what you’re going through, know you can change your mind – and change your experience!! This stuff works!!

Thank God! Rev. Angelica

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

There is That Within Me that is infinitely intelligent, yet It is bound by my beliefs. I now choose to accept a greater idea of myself. I am God in expression, forever creating my reality.

I now declare all my experiences are openings to my Higher Truth. This Truth is that I am pure potentiality. I think, and I become. I now release anything that is no longer necessary to the fulfillment of my highest good and greatest joy. I know who I am – an expression of The Divine, and my life reflects this in body, mind and heart. Only good and more good is mine to experience now. I know this for myself and for all others. All there is is God.

I release these words, knowing they have been embodied by my subjective mind and are now the builders of my universe. I am grateful to the Source of all. And so it is.

Last January we set our theme as “The Year of Gratitude.” As I look back, I see I manifested so much to be grateful for. How about you? This year I will continue the practice of consciously being grateful as we set our theme of

“Experiencing Heaven in 2007”

The first step is to define what “heaven” means to us. In the dictionary, Heaven is 1) a place or condition of supreme happiness and peace where good people are believed to go after death, 2) a blissful experience, 3) where God lives.

Since we believe absolutely everything is God, we’re in heaven already – we don’t have to wait until we die a physical death – however, we can die to what no longer serves us and start acting like we really are living in heaven now!! Imagine what it would feel like to experience supreme happiness. We won’t be able to if we’re hanging on to anything that is unlike that. This is the year to take classes, read, be in spiritual community, pray, meditate and commune with nature. This is the year to truly do our spiritual work and reveal our authentic Selves!

I look forward to experiencing heaven with you,

Gratefully, Rev. Angelica

Love points the way and Law makes the way possible. Love and Law are two aspects of The Divine – that unconditionally loving, infinitely intelligent Presence that is the Source of all things – that permeates all things.

Love and Law are at work in me now as I speak this word:

I declare I am ready and willing to experience heaven right now. I am ready and willing to KNOW my True Self – God in form. I am ready to use this awareness to serve my world with love and gratitude.

As I declare these things, Infinite Intelligence goes before me preparing the way that Love has pointed out through me. I look forward with eager expectancy to all I manifest this year. I KNOW this year will be the best year ever!

With a grateful heart, I release these words, knowing they are already done. And so it is.

I can’t let Christmas go by without sharing my Great Aunt’s Christmas Story:

Once upon a time, there was a little boy, dressed in old, torn clothing, walking through the center of town. He stared at the gaily decorated shop windows with longing eyes. People rushed past him, with their warm coats and arms full of packages, getting into warm carriages to take them home. Some carried shopping bags with delicious smells, and the little boy looked longingly at those too.

None of the shop keepers paid any attention to him as he stopped outside their doors, letting the warm air heat his little body for an instant as the customers went in or came out.

The sounds of the carolers died away as the little boy walked away from the town’s busy center. Snow had begun to fall, but not one carriage stopped to offer him a ride. The little boy began to feel colder. As he walked down the road, he came to a large, beautiful house. The opulently decorated Christmas tree in the front window almost took his breath away. It was covered with big red bows, glass balls and candles everywhere. He could see toy soldiers and teddy bears, and pretty ballerinas. It was wonderful!

Music was coming from the house, and he could hear laughter and singing. “Perhaps these good people will take me in” he thought. It took quite a while for the door to open when he knocked. A tall, white haired man dressed in black and white, looked out at him, quite exasperatedly. “Go away little boy – go away. You should know better than to try to come in here!” The huge door slammed shut with a gust of warm air so strong it almost knocked the little boy over in the snow.

This same thing happened at every house he tried. Only the trees in the front windows changed.

Finally he came to the very edge of town. The snow was falling much heavier, and it was becoming harder and harder to walk. The little boy started to cry. Then in the midst of his tears, he saw a tiny light off in the distance. He struggled through the snow toward it and came upon a cottage. The candle in the front window was very small, but it beckoned to him invitingly. As he looked in, he could see a small tree branch in a pot on the table. It was decorated with bits of yarn and string, and underneath were some oranges and nuts.

In front of the fireplace was a woman dressed in simple clothing, holding a baby on her lap, talking to a small child seated in front of her. He listened for a moment to the soft voice telling the story of another child.

The little boy tapped on the window trying to get their attention. The small child tugged on the woman’s skirt. “Someone’s outside, Mother.” “No dear” she said, “it was only the wind blowing the tree branches against the house.” She set the baby in the child’s lap and went to the stove. “The porridge will be cooked in a minute, children, and then we’ll have our Christmas Dinner.”

The little boy knocked harder. “Oh, Mother, there IS someone outside.” the child said. The woman opened the door and saw the little boy. “Oh my poor dear” she cried, “come in this instant and sit by our fire! You are so cold and wet!”

The little boy soon found himself wrapped in a blanket, snuggled to the woman’s bosom. He felt so good and warm. The child brought a bowl of porridge for him to eat and then an orange and gave it to him as a Christmas present.

After awhile, the baby and the small child became sleepy, so the woman took them into the other room of the cottage to put them to bed.

The little boy sitting in front of the fire began to smile. As he smiled, his face lit up and he became surrounded by a golden light. The light grew larger and larger until the woman and her small child came back into the room to see what it was. They gasped as they saw that the tiny branch had become a large, gaily decorated tree, filled with presents …. There were smells of turkey, ham and pies coming from the oven. And as the light grew, the cottage expanded and new furnishings came into view. Soon the light was so bright they could no longer see the little boy. “Who was that Mama? the little child asked “That was no little beggar boy!” “No child,” said the Mother softly as tears streamed down her face. “That was the Christ Child.”

And from that Christmas on, a candle was always placed in the window to light the Christ Child’s way home.

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

There is only One Light that permeates all things. It is a Divine Light – the Christ Light. This Light is within me. There is nothing I could ever do to put that Light out. It is my Lifeforce.

Today I declare I fan the flames of this Light. I will no refuse my own Christhood in any area of my life. I will nurture this Flame with every part of my being, allowing It to shine in all the dark corners. As I acknowledge this Light, It becomes more predominant within me. It erases all pain, resentment, greed, any sense of not-enoughness. It fills me with Divine Love. It constantly reminds me that I am the Beloved in whom It is well pleased. My Light shines so brightly all who come into my Presence, recognize themselves as the Light and together we Light up the world.

I am so grateful for absolutely everything … especially for this season of the year that reminds me that I am the Light of the World, and I bless it with Love. And so it is.

I was listening to the news in the car yesterday and discovered a judge in Toronto had banned a Christmas tree from the courthouse because it represented a Christian holiday.

The Seattle airport had also removed a large Christmas tree because a Rabbi said he’d sue if a giant menorah wasn’t erected. (later he said he was kidding)

A woman put up a wreath on her condo in the shape of a peace sign and the strata council asked her to remove it because it was a pagan symbol.

All three of these events were because someone complained. Why do we have to be so exclusive instead of inclusive? The courthouse and the airport could have erected Jewish symbols and any other symbols for various religious holidays in December. And all three “authorities” could have done some research on the symbols before demanding their removal.

A woman called in to the radio station while I was listening and said this was just another example of Christians being persecuted. And there’s the answer to my question: We take things too personally!! Someone looked at a beautifully decorated tree (which is actually a pre-Christian symbol) and decided it was personally offensive. Their attitude was “What about me? I’m __________. (Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, whatever) and why isn’t my faith represented just as vividly as Christianity?” The good of the whole was sacrificed for the good of one.

These outpicturings are macrocosmic reflections of the microcosm of our personal lives. Where are we taking things too personally? Where are we expecting others to live according to the way we think life should be lived? The holidays are certainly good mirrors of our consciousness, collectively or individually!

This season let’s practice being more authentically Spirit … unconditionally loving!

Blessings, Rev. Angelica

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

There is only One Presence manifesting though and as many names, many religions. This Presence also knows Itself by our name. It our lifeforce, the vitality that animates our physical being. No matter what we call It, or how we worship It, It changes not. It just is. Unconditionally loving, infinitely intelligent, everywhere present.

Today I declare I will not take anything personally. I know in Truth, that everything in my life is here by my acceptance of it. I choose to let go and let the Divine Presence move through me in waves of Love. I choose to let others be exactly who they are without any preconceived ideas of what that should be. I no longer require that anyone live according to the rules I have set up for my life. Today I practice loving unconditionally, and in this way I reflect my Divine Nature.

Gratefully I release these words into Spiritual Law, knowing they are already done.

And so it is.

Friday, December 08, 2006

The other day, while going through a pile of papers to be filed, I found a scrap with this written on it:

“When did you last lay your head in the lap of awe.”

Think for a moment – when did you last let yourself experience a true moment of awe? All of us have them… one that instantly comes to my mind was being present at my Goddaughter’s birth.

The dictionary defines AWE as “a mixture of wonder and dread … a feeling of amazement and respect mixed with fear that is often coupled with a feeling of personal insignificance or powerlessness.”

Yes, this describes how I felt watching Esther being born, and for you who have given birth, it must be definitely be the way you felt during the experience!

This is the type of fear that is mentioned in the Bible. There is a line in Deuteronomy 6:13 that reads “Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him, and shalt swear by his name.” Whenever “the Lord thy God” is mentioned, we can read it as the aspect of God called The Law. To me, this statement metaphysically says “You will be in awe of the Law, and use it, and know it is True by your experiences of It.”

Seeing as we are using the Law all the time, let us consciously do so, and intend to have many little moments of awe this season. Recognize them and be grateful – and for goodness sake

Believe!

Blessings, Rev. Angelica

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

I recognize the Infinite Awesomeness of The Divine. It is absolutely everywhere. I can not get away from It as everything is God in form and this includes me.

God is One with Itself always in all ways.

Today I allow myself to be in awe of the Power residing within me. With my thoughts and feelings I co-create my reality. I declare I am ready and willing to experience more of The Divine in every area of my life. As I speak my word for health, wealth, right livelihood, and loving relationships, I am in awe of how wonderfully Spirit works through me, creating more joy and wonder in my life!

Gratefully I release this word into Law, marveling at how delightfully the Law works for me, as me, though me. And so it is.

“Oh no! How did it get to be December already!!” This sound familiar?

Every year I’m so surprised when December rolls around. Suddenly there is so much to do.

Presents, crowds, food, family traditions -- all the magical things about the holidays, yet they can cause stress as well. Here’s my ideas to approaching and experiencing this season mindfully:

Gifts - My Mother used to keep lists so she’d remember to give presents and cards to people who gave our family one the year before. She’d even make sure she had a stack of unaddressed cards and a little cache of gifts just in case someone surprised her. How liberating it was for me to discover a Big Truth! I don’t have to have to do this! If we get a gift, and didn’t plan to give one in return, there’s no need to feel guilty. A simple heartfelt thank you is enough!!

We also don’t have to buy everyone a gift. Make a list and a budget and stick to it! (Wouldn’t it be wonderful to hear a news report that says, “credit card use was down this year!”) Let your creativity out! Make things! All of us have a gift or talent we can share. And the best present we can give anyone – is ourselves! More than gifts, our loved ones value the gift of Quality Time.

Crowds – Now this is a given so don’t let yourself freak out over it. The streets, parking lots and stores are going to be crowded. When you find yourself in lines -- people watch. Make up delightful holiday stories about the people you see in line. Bless them with good thoughts.

Food – Oh my goodness, the holiday goodies!! Don’t deprive yourself, but don’t go crazy either!! Food is fuel for the body so make sure you’re not putting in the cheap stuff. Rev. Helen Street used to love cinnamon buns. One day she stepped into a sticky bun store and just stood there and breathed in the scent and realized that was enough. If you’re going to have a goodie, practice mindfulness, eat it slowly, savouring each moment, each taste and texture sensation.

Families – Now here’s the place where most of the emotional stuff around the holidays comes up. The stuff that causes overspending and overeating. We’ve all got stories and they’re laden with guilt, resentment or disappointment. For as long as we remain attached to them, our stories define us. They limit the possibilities of who we believe we can love. This year, let’s let go of our emotional attachments that have kept us stuck in our stories and just accept people for who they are.

We need to stop our self-blaming stories as well. Since in every moment we are all doing the best we can, based on the beliefs and consciousness we have at the time, there is no reason for guilt or regret, anger or resentment.

This holiday season, let’s reveal our True Story. Regardless of appearances or circumstances, each person we’re meeting and interacting with is, in Truth, God in expression! Christmas is really about sharing love, having inner peace and recognizing the Christ within all!

Join me in doing the holidays mindfully this year!

Blessings, Rev. Angelica

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

At the core of the Universe is One. One Source, One Heart, One Mind. This Oneness is Love. Love flows into my world by means of me. As It fills me up, I relax and celebrate it with joy.

I let joy colour my world this holiday season. I choose to experience it mindfully. I am conscious of the spirit of the season and I let myself become more and more aware of the Christ Nature within all.

As I go about my daily life, I honour the Divine gifts that are always being given. I receive them gracefully and give them with unconditional love.

All of my stories have been transformed by my conscious recognition of the Divine Life in all.

Gratefully I celebrate Spirit today. God is good and all is well in my world.

And so it is.

Inutition

The other night in our onLine SOM 101 class we were discussing intuition and how important it is.
This morning I opened my 365 Science of Mind daily book by Ernest Holmes and read:
Intuition
Before they call I will answer; and while they are yet speaking I will hear.
Isaiah 65:24
Dr. Alexia Carrol tells us that intuition is not a product of the intellect, nor is it something that is developed in the process of our evolution. It is, then, a thing in itself. That which is instinct in the animal, blindly, unerringly leading it to food, water, and shelter, becomes intuition in humanity, consciously perceived. Instinct is intuition acting unconsciously; intuition is instinct elevated to the point of self-awareness. They are identical. Intuition is Omniscience acting omnipresently; therefore, whether or not we believe it, it is ever present with us.
Today, I know that intuition, which is the presence of the Divine Mind in me, will guide me aright. It will set me on the path of right action,. It will direct my footsteps. It will counsel my mind. Today I am aware that there is a light that dispels ignorance, fear, superstition, and doubt, and sets me, safe and sane, on the pathway of Truth.
The mind that we discover within us is the Mind that governs everything.
SOM p. 34
Many of us discount our intuitive flashes because we’ve been taught to, yet I believe it is one of the most powerful tools in our spiritual toolbox. I also know that even if we have discounted it up until now, we all have a story of how our intuition “saved” us in some way, so at some level we know It is always with us whether we consciously recognize it or not.
I’ve always felt our intuition is like a communication device between the Infinite and the finite – it enables us to be able to hear Spirit in a way that we will understand it. It speaks our particular language and in our voice. Intuition is Omniscience acting omnipresently through us!!
Thank you Spirit in me, as me. I now consciously choose to be still and pay attention!!
Blessings, Rev. Angelica
SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT
Gratefully I open my heart and mind to the awesome experience of The Divine. I know Spirit is everywhere – infinitely intelligent and unconditionally loving. I now consciously claim my awareness of Spirit in me as me.
As I do this, I open myself to my intuition, acknowledging It as an active part of Divine Mind in me. To do this, I breathe deeply and let go of the busyness of my life. I allow myself to become still and listen. I hear the Loving Voice within me, guiding me each step I take. I am so grateful I am choosing to pay attention!
There is only One Life, that Life is Divine Life, and that Life is my Life now. For this I am eternally grateful. And so it is.

Friday, November 17, 2006

One morning this week, I got up and looked at myself in the mirror. How did I get to be an older woman? I started picking on myself for not taking care of my body as I should have.

Later that day, I drove to Vancouver. I marveled at the gorgeous colouring in the trees. The reds, yellows and browns were so vibrantly alive, even though the trees were shutting down for the winter. Suddenly I started laughing at myself. Why should it bother me to get older? Life is eternal, yet all things have their seasons, and nature goes through her cycles gracefully. I can move into my autumn feeling sorry for myself, or I can move through in a blaze of color!

George Bernard Shaw wrote: "This is the true joy in life … being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one … being a force of Nature instead of a feverish selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy … I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.

I want to be thoroughly used up when I die. For the harder I work the more I live.
I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no brief candle to me. It's a sort of splendid torch which I've got to hold up for the moment and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing on to future generations."

Or in plainer terms -- “Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, coffee in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ‘WOO HOO what a ride!’" -- author unknown

I TOTALLY AGREE!

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

There is only One Life, that Life is Divine Life and that Life is living Itself as me right now.

I relax into Life with a sense of awe at Its magnificence. No longer do I groan about any part of it. It is all God, therefore It is all good. I celebrate Life in all Its forms and shapes. The more I acknowledge It the more vibrant It becomes.

My life, being Divine Life, has everything in it necessary to fulfill my highest good and greatest joy. I acknowledge and claim this as my Truth. How could it be anything else. God is Truth, and the Truth sets me free from all the “I should haves..”,

With a heart filled with gratitude, I celebrate Life! And so it is.

Whoo Hoo!! Big changes are happening in our world! With last Tuesday’s U.S. elections, and the first female Speaker of the House stepping up – I got really excited. We’re seeing results for the prayers, Treatments, meditations, etc., we have done for our world. Thank you Gods and Goddesses for the work you are doing in Mind!

However, have you noticed that sometimes when we are going for a particular result, once the initial manifestation begins, we stop our mental and emotional work? IE: we’re doing our spiritual work to have the perfect relationship, someone shows up, and we stop the work. Maybe we manifest who seems to be Mr/Ms Wonderful – yet after awhile, we realize this isn’t what we want – this is just shades of the past. Remember – what we are really working for is the CONSCIOUSNESS of a perfect relationship. Whatever we bring into our lives will be at the level of consciousness we are at now. This is the Law of Attraction. We are where we are on our Path of Life, because we’ve accepted where we are as our truth.

Our Spiritual Work never stops. You could groan and think “oh no!” at this news, but in Truth, it is an honour to be able to continually redefine and refine what it is we want in our lives. In our work for Peace, we’re going for inner Peace and Joy, knowing it will ripple outward and affect all. Peace and Joy are an inner experience of Oneness. Oneness is the consciousness we are accepting as our Truth. Keep up the good work!

I rejoice in the outer manifestations of my consciousness. I know this is happening because I recognize the One Presence throughout the universe – that Presence of Divine Love. I know Infinite Intelligence works through me as me, as Spiritual Law and for this I am grateful.

I now bask in the Oneness, never losing sight of my highest ideals. I speak my intentions to experience our world in peace. I know this starts within me, so I intend to be peaceful in my heart and mind and let it radiate out from me throughout my circle of influence.

I intend for all who live upon this earth to know they are of great value, and to have the benefits of that awareness.

I intend for us to experience our Oneness in beautiful and meaningful ways.

All things are possible for those who believe. I believe, and am so grateful.

And so it is.

Have you ever wanted something so badly you could almost taste it? Something that you Treated for, had intentions for, visualized yourself doing, and every other spiritual tool you knew? And then didn’t get it? Of course you have – it happens to all of us!

I recently went through this, and I’ll tell you, I also went through a week of “Why”? What a futile question!! When these things happen we might never know “why” so we have to TRUST. Totally Rely Upon Spirit’s Timing. In my case, I had to let go and know that that part of my Treatment where I add “for everyone’s highest good and greatest joy” was working.

Deepak Chopra says in The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success: “The Law of Detachment says that in order to acquire anything in the physical universe, you have to relinquish your attachment to it.” I realized that my “why” questions were because I was in reaction to the results. I hadn’t practiced involved detachment. He goes on to say “This doesn’t mean you give up the intention to create your desire. You don’t give up the intention, and you don’t give up the desire. You give up your attachment to the result.”

Many times we’re so attached to the results we give up on the desire when we don’t achieve it the way we thought we were going to. Let’s remember that we are always working with an Infinitely Intelligent Principle. It knows what is for the highest good and greatest joy for all concerned!!

Thank God!

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

Today I recognize the Infinitely Intelligent Mind of the Universe. I recognize It is the Source of all things. It is everywhere present, including within me.

Today I choose to revisit those dreams that didn’t manifest the way I wanted. It they are still something my heart desires, I now allow myself to keep the desire, and the intention for those dreams, and I let Mind bring to me the fulfillment of my desire without being attached to the results. I KNOW Mind will put me in the right place, at the right time, with all that is necessary to their fulfillment.

I am so grateful for knowing Principle works so well in my life. My life is Divine Life, and I now joyfully get out of Its way for Its fullest expression.

And so it is.

I saw two great movies this past week. “Conversations with God” and “Man of the Year.” I’ve also read lots of good articles sent to me via e-mail. One of the important messages coming through at this moment is INTEGRITY. I feel I live pretty much in integrity … and then I looked up the word. The Latin root is wholeness, and one of the definitions of is: an undivided or unbroken completeness or totality with nothing wanting. I can’t honestly say I am an “undivided completeness.”

I remember Rev. Helen Street standing at the pulpit saying “We believe the universal mantra is OM – however, what it really seems to be is …..” and then she made the sound of snoring. How long are we going to complacently allow ourselves to sleep behind the mask of mediocrity? To be asleep to our magnificence?

Integrity is about WAKING UP ! To live in the totality with nothing wanting. This means going deeper in our Spirit. Being Real. Doing our spiritual practices whatever they might be, and remembering that as we do them for the benefit of our own lives, we are having an effect on thousands. Waking up individually is waking up humanity.

How grateful I am to be living in this time of a great renaissance. We are being birthed into our Real Selves and this is a very good thing!

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

I recognize the Totality of Spirit. It is absolutely everywhere, within and without. It is an active Principle working in, through and as each of Its manifestations.

I am one of those manifestations. I am a unique expression of the Divine. There is no one exactly like the physical me. No one who feels exactly the way I do. No one who thinks exactly like I do. This does not make me alone – this is my uniqueness and my uniqueness is valuable.

Today I choose to wake up to my Totality – I let go of anything idea of being broken or divided in any way. I am in absolute integrity – as Spirit, how could I be anything else. Now that I remember this, I see it show up in all the areas of my life.

I am so grateful to have woken up. I am grateful to be a consciously active part of the creative process. I am grateful for knowing who I am – Spirit in form.

I release these words into Universal Law, knowing they are already manifest. And so it is.

A friend of mine in Hawai’i was relating a story to me about how her boyfriend came up behind her and said “I’ve got your back.” We both thought it was such a sweet thing to say. Then about a week later I saw some t-shirts with the same words. I wondered if this was some new slang phrase that was circulating, and because it had come to my attention again, I knew it was a message for me. Before I “googled” it, I thought about what it meant. For me, “I’ve got your back” denotes a sense of protectiveness. A sense of the person saying “go ahead, I’ll watch out for you.”

“Googling” led me to discover that this is the title of a book on corporate strategy using a tennis model, the name of a movie honouring the men and women in the U.S. military and phrase used by pilots in the last world war.

I then discovered an ‘Urban Dictionary’ (fascinating!), which gave me this definition: “An expression assuring someone that you are watching out for them. Comes from making sure you are safe by watching what's behind you when you're busy looking ahead.”

I immediately saw this as something Infinite Intelligence is continually saying to us! We humans have a tendency to look backwards – reviewing, analyzing, re-playing the incidents in our past. Because of this, there seems to be an element of fear in moving forward.

If we were to accept “I’ve got your back” as a Universal Truth … we would march more confidently into our future. There wouldn’t be anything to be afraid of.

Stop for a moment and close your eyes. Imagine The Voice Within saying “I’ve got your back.” How does that feel? I have a feeling of empowerment, my courage gets stronger. I can let go of fear. I can continue to move into my Vision because there is That Within Me that has my back.

AND – because I know God has mine, I can say this to you--- “I’ve got your back!”

Blessings, Rev. Angelica

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

I know there is only One – one infinitely intelligent Mind/one unconditionally loving Heart. This is the Heart and Mind of The Divine. This is the one great Principle that is working in, through and as us at all times, in all ways.

I now step into my life more fully, knowing I am guided and nurtured by my conscious awareness of The One. It is living my life through and as me, honouring my choices. I choose to know I have nothing to fear. The Divine has my back. I am safe. I move into a greater vision of my life with ease, knowing all I have been and done, all I am now, and all I will be, is an expression of Spirit. Totally relying on Spirit means I can make no mistakes. I can only step into the fullness of my life, being authentic and whole.

In every area of my life, Spirit has my back - in my health, my wealth, my creativity and my relationships. I move forward with ease, expressing my whole Self.

Gratefully I release these words, feeling the liberation from fear. I am safe in the heart of The Divine. And so it is.

Friday, October 13, 2006

Whoo Hoo – Friday the 13th !! So what does that conjure up for you? I used to think I had to be really careful on this day as it was a day where all sorts of mishaps could happen. I know I’m not alone - that belief is in the collective consciousness of the western world.

On one of my long drives on my holiday, I listened to the book Ishmael written by Daniel Quinn. I loved it – it starts out with an ad "Teacher seeks pupil, must have an earnest desire to save the world". Quinn has his ‘teacher’, who happens to be a silverback gorilla, teaching his pupil about the basic myths we have created to live by. Knowing we are the writers of the current mythology, this made me start looking at the myths in the collective consciousness I had accepted in my life.

Friday the 13th used to be one of those myths. As I go deeper into awareness of our basic Law: “It is done unto us as we believe” I realize how important it is for us to constantly re-evaluate what we believe, where we got the belief, and whether it still serves us.

Think about this, if I buy into a myth that tells me if I walk under a ladder, or a black cat crosses my path, I will have bad luck, that myth becomes a law for me, and I have to honour that law or suffer the consequences.

This is the same with all generally accepted myths – here’s a few negative ones: We can only leave this body by getting ill; We are never good enough; Love hurts; Life is a struggle; Aging is bad. We are being bombarded with a number of myths on a daily basis though the media and daily conversations. If we accept these as part of our personal mythology, we have to live by them.

How grateful I am to have this wonderful philosophy to work with! I know I can choose what mythology to live by, indeed I can create a new myth moment by moment. Today I choose this one:

“I live in complete confidence that I am on the pathway of endless unfoldment, walking in the Light of infinite Wisdom.”

SPIRITUAL MIND TREATMENT

There is only One Life, that Life is God’s Life, and that Life is my life now. How grateful I am to know this Truth. I celebrate the Oneness!

This One Life responds to my thoughts and feelings through Law with ease and grace. I am the one making up the laws. I contemplate the mythology, the story of my life, that I have lived by up until now, and allow myself to accept a new story in the areas that no longer serve me.

I now declare that my new story is about health, wealth, creativity and love. And on a deeper level my story is about living the Divine Life with joy. I settle into my Spirit with complete confidence and trust, knowing that my desire is for the highest good and the greatest joy for myself and all others.

Gratefully I surrender to my new mythology. This is a Divine Story and it is a good one! And so it is.
